Jurgen Klopp reacts after finding out Man City have won the Premier League for the fourth time in a row

How Jurgen Klopp reacted after discovering Manchester City won the Premier League for the fourth consecutive season has come to the fore.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side marked his final game at the club with a 2-0 victory against a 10-man Wolves side.

Liverpool finished third behind Arsenal and City, seven and nine points behind both teams respectively.

Klopp reacts after discovering Man City won the Premier League

In the Anfield dressing room, Jurgen Klopp asked whether Manchester City or Arsenal had won the Premier League title.

Klopp asked via the club’s official YouTube channel: “I don’t even know yet who became champion.”

He was told: “City.”

Jurgen Klopp told his Liverpool players that they can stop Manchester City from winning the title in the future.

“The only one who’s stopped them is us and you can do that again.”

“I said it this morning, there might be some people who say, ‘That’s not enough’, I tell you they don’t have a clue about football.”

“Could you have done better in moments? Yes. Of course, that’s always possible. But did you do better than you can usually expect? Oh yes!”

Klopp continued: “Because it takes longer to become a top team again, and you did that like this.”

“That’s why expectations get [blown up] and then we couldn’t keep their pace. That’s the problem a little bit.”

“But besides that, becoming third in the first season of Liverpool 2.0, and from now on, with new energy from outside, for you, with new influences, with new boosts, with new [chances of] proving yourself, that’s good for squeezing everything out of your career.”

“So, it’s already too much.”

Pep Guardiola will relish competing with Arne Slot

In our view, Pep Guardiola would relish the opportunity of going head-to-head with a brand-new Liverpool manager in Arne Slot, who will replace Jurgen Klopp next season.

After Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 to confirm their title triumph, Erling Haaland revealed that if a player does not rise to the Catalan’s demands, they have a “big problem” on their hands.

City’s number nine gave an insight into Guardiola’s demanding nature.

Arne Slot will be aware that he has a massive challenge on his hands to fulfil the promise set by Jurgen Klopp of toppling this Manchester City side.

A task that only Klopp has been able to successfully achieve, as he stated during his speech to his players.

However, Guardiola will perhaps spend some time in the summer understanding the tactical ideas Slot could bring to the table at Anfield.

The sense one gets from having witnessed Pep Guardiola’s rise over the years is that he never shies away from competition.

Arne Slot is one of the hottest up-and-coming managers in world football.

However, the same can be said about the brilliant Mikel Arteta, who has watched his side lose the league title to Guardiola’s City machine two seasons in a row.
