Im stockenden Tarifkonflikt im Einzelhandel erhöhen einige Handelsunternehmen erneut von sich aus die Löhne und Gehälter. Die Schwarz Gruppe, zu der Lidl und Kaufland gehören, die Rewe-Gruppe (Rewe, Penny, Toom), Aldi und der Möbelhändler Ikea kündigten an, die Löhne ihrer Beschäftigten anzuheben. Die deutschen Discounter Aldi und Lidl bauen ihr Geschäft in Großbritannien weiter aus.
