The Phoenix Suns are concerned that Kevin Durant’s ankle injury, which he suffered in Phoenix Wednesday during warmups, could force him to miss the remainder of the regular season. Durant wore a walking boot as he exited the Footprint Center after the Suns’ 132-101 victory against the Thunder. Durant suffered the injury during a routine warmup session before the game, rolling his ankle while attempting a layup. Though he managed to stand up on his own power and even went on to finish his pre-game work, he was eventually taken back to the locker room for treatment. He was later ruled out of the...

Irving has met with Nets management, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Jewish leaders in an attempt to earn forgiveness for promoting a film featuring antisemitic themes. “Kyrie is continuing his journey of dialogue and education,” NBPA executive director Tamika Tremaglio told ESPN Wednesday night. “He has been grappling with the full weight of the impact of his voice and actions, particularly in the Jewish community. Kyrie rejects Antisemitism in any ...

A former NBA player who has played with Kevin Durant did not have kind words to say about Golden State Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry. This is Mike James, who currently plays in the EuroLeague, previously played with Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans. In an appearance on the Players Choice podcast, James couldn’t get himself to put Curry in his top five list of current active players. “Steph, how he plays and how he gets stuff off, it’s just kinda one-dimensional at times,” James said. “He’s not the primary ball-handler a lot, and for a point guard that kinda bothe...

Paul Millsap wants out of Brooklyn, and the Nets appear ready to placate the forward, as the two sides have agreed to find the four-time All-Star a team where he’ll have more playing time. The 36-year-old has played in just two of the team’s last 17 games. It’s tough to see the floor when you have Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving on the team. He picked the Nets over the Bulls and Warriors in free agency last offseason. But is clearly happy about a potential new move. “Motivation. Thank you [praying hands emoji]”: Millsap was chosen by the Utah Jazz in the second round, 47th overall,...

The Utah Jazz plan to sign forward James Ennis to a 10-day contract. Ennis has spent time with the Nets and Clippers on 10-day pacts this season, playing in four games and averaging 10.5 minutes, 6.3 points, and 2.5 rebounds per game. When Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Aldridge cleared protocols, the Nets opted to not bring Ennis back in late December. The Clippers then signed him to a 10-day deal that expired on January 8. The journeyman has played with nine teams in seven seasons.

Carmelo Anthony invited Draymond Green onto his podcast What’s in Your Glass? where the two NBA All-Stars touched upon the Warriors’ power forward’s public feud with ex-teammate Kevin Durant. Green reached out to Durant to suggest the idea of filming a candid talk. However, this did not come without difficulty. “I think there was a time period of where he wasn’t trying to say nothin’ to me. I think there was a time period where my number might have been blocked from his phone … I could only talk to him through Instagram DM.” This segment comes just two weeks after the highly anticipated Bleach...

Team USA seemed to be closer to Olympic gold form against Argentina, defeating them by a score of 108-80. The deeply needed win comes just 12 days before the team is set to kick off its slate of games in Tokyo. “Against Australia, we competed well, rebounded, played defense, ran the floor and had good pace for a half and then it dissipated for a half. Tonight, we maintained that pretty much throughout the game. Hopefully, that’s a sign we’re getting better,” said head coach Gregg Popovich. Kevin Durant shook off his rust from the first two exhibition matches, shooting 6 of 9 and recording 17 p...
