Hong Kong has been celebrating the Year of the Dragon with the return of the Lunar New Year parade, after a five-year break, and a 23-minute HK$13 million fireworks display. Police say over 338,000 people witnessed Sunday’s fireworks display. “We’re all here to welcome the Year of the ‘Loong,'” Chief Executive John Lee said at Saturday’s parade in Tsim Sha Tsui. “In Chinese culture, the “loong” – people usually call it the dragon – symbolises nobility, good fortune and vitality.
