Two military helicopters crashed during a training session over a naval base on Malaysia's west coast early on Tuesday killing ten people, local media reported citing the country's navy. Military spending in Central and Western Europe is now higher than the last year of the Cold War, a new report has found. According to new data released by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Europe has seen a widespread surge in military spending since the start of 2022, reaching a total of €552 billion in 2023. Lockheed Martin has won a major contract from the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the US aerospace and defence firm and the agency said on Thursday in a statement.
