Football's ruling body FIFA has been rejected as a party in a criminal investigation against its president Gianni Infantino, Switzerland's Federal Criminal Court said on Tuesday. The court confirmed a September ruling from special prosecutor Stefan Keller, who is investigating secret meetings between Infantino and former Swiss attorney general Michael Lauber. Report: Former FIFA chief Blatter in hospital
Long-time former FIFA president Joseph Blatter was taken to hospital by his daughter on Thursday, according to a report in the newspaper Blick. The 84-year-old's condition was reported as serious, but not life-threatening. There were no details about his medical condition. "My father is in the hospital. He's getting better every day, but he needs some time and rest," Blatter's daughter, Corinne, told the newspaper. Blatter gave up FIFA's leadership in 2015.
