Bangladesh has sent a second group of Rohingya refugees to an offshore island in the Bay of Bengal from a crowded refugee camp in its south-eastern district of Cox’s Bazar, officials said on Tuesday. Navy ships in the morning took 1,804 refugees to Bhashan Char island as part of a planned relocation programme, said Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury, the programme's leader. Japanese trader Mitsubishi wins 69 bil. yen train deal from Myanmar

BANGKOK, NNA - Major Japanese trader Mitsubishi Corp. has received an order for 246 railway cars from state-run Myanma Railways for the Yangon circular and Yangon-Mandalay railway projects. Mitsubishi on Tuesday announced the deal totaling about 69 billion yen ($661 million), which will be covered by a yen loan accord between the two countries.
