Basketball: Wizards postpone further game due to coronavirus
The Washington Wizards announced Wednesday the postponement of their upcoming NBA game against the Milwaukee Bucks because of a coronavirus outbreak that has sidelined several players including Japanese forward Rui Hachimura. The clash, scheduled for Friday in Milwaukee, will be the sixth game the Wizards have halted because of an outbreak that has prevented them from dressing the minimum of eight healthy players required under league rules. The Wizards, who last played on Jan. 11, had initially planned to resume their season at Milwaukee without Hachimura and five other players unavailable un...

Steph Curry, James Wiseman lead Warriors in 121-99 win over Spurs
Dressed in navy blue with dashes of orange and gold Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors wearing their Oakland-inspired uniforms looked more like the dominant team that closed out Oracle Arena with five-straight Finals runs than the one rebuilding since the move to San Francisco. In Golden State’s 121-99 win over the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center, guard Stephen Curry led a thrilling offensive performance complete with made 3-pointers, crisp ball movement and rim-rocking dunks. Joel Embiid’s 42 points power Sixers to 117-109 victory against Celtics
PHILADELPHIA — The Boston Celtics had a lot to do with the 76ers’ facelift. The Celtics sweeping them in the first round of last season’s playoffs led to several drastic offseason changes. The Sixers have a new coaching staff, hired Daryl Morey and other front-office personnel, and added new complimentary pieces for Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Tobias Harris. So some could consider Wednesday’s contest was sort of a barometer game to see how the new-look Sixers matched up against Boston. Just sort of. Both teams were without a key starter — Seth Curry (Sixers) and Jayson Tatum (Celtics) — due ...
