Dua Lipa Granted Albanian Citizenship
The singer Dua Lipa, best known for her single “New Rules” and other hit tracks, has been officially granted Albanian citizenship. The singer was born in London to Albanian immigrant parents and speaks Albanian as her native language. The word “Dua” from her stage name is also a connection to her Albanian roots, meaning “Love” in the language and that part of her name was reportedly suggested by her grandmother.
