A 1938 copy of the comic that first “introduced Superman to the world” has sold for a record-setting $6 million (€5,529,600). English cartoonist and writer Posy Simmonds has won the Grand Prix at France’s Angoulême International Comics festival, a first for a British artist at one of the most prestigious awards in comics and graphic novels.
