DPC organizer removes part of a table to show women's legs
The joke did not sit well with some.
The Dota 2 community is conflicted after Perfect World Gaming agreed to remove a leg from its anchor desk after fans complained that they couldn't see a female host's legs. According to Perfect World Gaming's original Weibo post, spectators were allegedly "dissatisfied" with the leg tables and claimed it affected their viewing experience of the Dota Pro Circuit's China Division. The tournament organizers claimed that they had sawed off the "evil table leg" themselves. The joke is that the Chinese audience wanted a clearer view of one of the female host's legs whenever they showed the commentat...

Valve officially kills Artifact development, makes game F2P
And what did we learn?
Dota 2 spin-off Artifact is officially dead. After 18 months of live development on Artifact 2.0, Valve is ending its attempts to salvage the digital card game. Both the original Artifact and Artifact 2.0, now renamed Artifact Classic and Artifact Foundry respectively, will remain playable, but no further updates will come for either version of the game. “It's now been about a year and a half since the current Artifact team began work on a reboot in earnest. While we're reasonably satisfied we accomplished most of our game-side goals, we haven't managed to get the active player numbers to a le...

Evil Geniuses jumps up Dota 2 team rankings, OG hangs on
A lot has changed.
The 2021 Dota Pro Circuit winter season is largely finished, with every region except for China now in a holding pattern until the ONE Esports Singapore Major. That makes this a good time to check in on how teams currently rank on a global scale. A combination of roster stability over the last 18 months and a lower volume of games due to the rollout of the Dota Pro Circuit has allowed established western teams to really take over the top 10. That’s likely to change with China back in action after a break and most of that region’s best also set to compete in FDC Season 3, but for now it makes f...

ana plays Dota 2 after 4 months away, is he returning to OG?
ana was gone for a long time.
Anathan “ana” Pham came back to Dota 2, at least for one night. The two-time The International champion hopped onto Dota 2 on February 28. He played just one game on Monkey King with a five-stack of players that also included star Korean player Lee "Forev" Sang-don. The game was an utter stomp, lasting just 43 minutes while seeing ana rack up 32 kills and 29 assists While ana putting the boots to random Dota 2 players might seem like a common occurrence, this game is newsworthy because it was ana’s first game in over four months. Though ana has never been shy about taking extended breaks from ...

OG misses Singapore Major after loss in DreamLeague Season 14
N0tail will have to watch the event from his 17-bedroom mansion.
DreamLeague Season 14 was inevitably going to leave one or two big-name teams out of the ONE Esports Singapore Major. The only question was which team was going to miss the boat, and an answer came Sunday during tiebreakers. With Tundra Esports, OG, and Team Liquid tied with 3-4 records, they were forced to fight for the last remaining spot in the major. After two round robin tiebreakers, Team Liquid came out on top, while OG and Tundra will be forced to stay at home. That's not too bad for OG given that its captain will be staying in a 17-bedroom mansion, but it's a jarring turn of events for...
