"On Friday, 5 April 2024, Stefan Kutschke was massively attacked by a threatening letter. Claudio Kammerknecht from German third division club Dynamo Dresden is set to make a national team debut for Sri Lanka in upcoming friendlies. Kammerknecht's mother is from Sri Lanka and the defender is in the squad for Friday's match against Papua New Guinea in Colombo and a Monday date with Bhutan. The 24-year-old took part in a Sri Lanka training camp in 2022 but that didn't include a match. "It's good to see something different, the processes are different. But I do know it's something crazy," Kammerknecht told the Sächsische Zeitung paper.
