NYC Mayor Eric Adams Defends Anti-Gay Hires
Prior to being selected as a faith adviser by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, City Councilman Fernando Cabrera said repeatedly that gay marriage was “unacceptable.” He once praised a Ugandan law that made certain homosexual behavior punishable with life in prison. Cabrera is among several of Adams’s new hires with anti-gay views. Rev. Erick Salgado, named as assistant commissioner for immigrant affairs, has a history of anti-LGBT views as well.
