Yankees, Rays Twitter Accounts Skip Baseball Stats, Focus On Gun Violence Facts
Despite being bitter rivals, the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays teamed up Thursday for the greater good. During New York’s eventual 7-2 victory, each team’s Twitter account refrained from tweeting about the game and instead shared gun violence facts. The act was, of course, in response the recent deadly shootings in Buffalo, N.Y., and Uvalde, Texas.
