Toyota's global sales up due to strong performance in China
Toyota Motor said on Friday its global car sales rose 1.8 per cent from a year earlier to 852,213 vehicles in November despite the Covid-19 pandemic, buoyed by sufficient demand in China. Sales in China jumped 16.7 per cent to 177,726 units in November for the eighth consecutive month of increases, Toyota said. Domestic sales grew 11.8 per cent to 142,775 units, while Toyota sold 9,386 vehicles in Germany, up 21.6 per cent from a year earlier, the carmaker said.
