Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi on Wednesday urged Myanmar's military rulers to listen to the wishes of the people in Myanmar, and allow humanitarian access to detainees. Retno held talks with Myanmar Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin in Bangkok in a trilateral meeting with Thailand's top diplomat Don Pramudwinai. Disney's Animal Kingdom adds ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ experiences
ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is incorporating experiences tied to the upcoming animated film “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Artists will construct a 40-ton sand sculpture on the Discovery Island Stage, and park visitors can observe that process Feb. 19-21. The display will include film characters Raya, Tuk Tuk, Sisu (the last dragon) and the Ongi. It will remain in place through the end of March, Disney says. Rainy season floods hit greater Jakarta, displacing thousands
Floods inundated parts of the Indonesian capital and its surrounding towns on Saturday following heavy rain overnight, displacing thousands of people. In Jakarta, some homes were submerged under 2 metres of water and vehicles were swept away on the streets, television footage showed. JAKARTA — At least 168 people, mainly children, have died after falling into abandoned mining pits across Indonesia over the past seven years, according to a new report.
