The Italian city of Milan is proposing a new law to ban ice cream after midnight, in an effort to protect the "peace and health" of residents. A legislative starting paper has been filed by the city's local government. Protests have erupted in Rome after the lower house of Italy's parliament passed new legislation allowing anti-abortion activists to enter abortion clinics. The measure, passed by Meloni's far-right Brothers of Italy party, is part of a package of initiatives that are funded by the European Union's post-Covid recovery fund, and is supposedly an attempt at “involving non-profits with experience providing maternity support in family planning clinics”. Italy's CPI inflation figure was unchanged in the month to March while the rate of price increases came in at 1.2% on an annual basis, according to data released by the country's official statistics agency on Tuesday.
