Jacoby Shaddix recalled when Motley Crue tried to limit Papa Roach‘s stage use on a 2008 tour. During a live Q+A with Q101, Shaddix and guitarist Jerry Horton were asked which tour was their favorite. Horton replied that Papa Roach’s tour with Korn in 2000 was special because of how well Korn treated the fledgling band, who’d just wrapped up Warped Tour. “They took us under their wing,” Horton said. “They treated us great and they set the bar for how we treated bands when we took them out.” Shaddix agreed with Horton’s statement about Korn, adding that they never tried to interfere with Papa R...

Motley Crue’s hugely popular album Dr. Feelgood turns 35 this year, and the band is admittedly in awe of the milestone. “Where the fuck did the time go?” Tommy Lee declared while discussing the anniversary with Allison Hagendorf. “I mean, our girlfriends and wives are just barely older than that,” chimed in Nikki Sixx, drawing laughs from the other members of the band. “I guess they’re vintage too now. Finally!” Reflecting on the creation of Dr. Feelgood, Sixx soon took a more reflective tone. READ MORE: Motley Crue Albums Ranked “You know what was great about that record? [Producer] Bob Rock ...

Nikki Sixx has admitted that he still feels bad about taking John 5 from Rob Zombie. In October 2022, John 5 was announced as the replacement for Mick Mars, who was retiring from touring after 40 years with the Crue. John 5 had history with Sixx, having worked with him the band Sixx:A.M. and various other projects, so he was a natural choice to join Motley’s ranks. Only problem, he was still a member of Zombie’s band at the time. “It was one of those things that I feel bad about,” Sixx admitted during a recent appearance on the Mistress Carrie Podcast. “It wasn’t my decision. It was John’s dec...

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee had a ruling go his way on Monday in a sexual assault suit brought by an accuser last December, but the case may not be over yet. A California judge dismissed the suit against Lee over an alleged 2003 assault against the plaintiff in a helicopter, but has allowed the plaintiff time to amend the complaint after it was determined the originally filed suit did not meet the legal act under which it was filed. The initial complaint was filed under the Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, but filings under the act must show that some type of “legal entity” was ...

Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil took a serious looking fall during the band’s performance in Atlantic City on Friday night (May 3). The group was only a few songs into its tour-launching show when they began rocking through their 1987 tune “Wild Side.” As Motley Crue tore through the song’s famous opening riffs, Neil began skipping from one side of the stage to the other. The frontman then tripped, sending him sprawling face first onto the stage. Impressively, Neil didn’t let the wipe out keep him down for long. The singer was back on his feet and ready to rock again when “Wild Side”’s vocals ...
