Neil Young and Crazy Horse have announced the release of Early Daze, a collection of mostly previously unreleased tracks from 1969. The 10-track set will be released on June 28 and include songs that ended up on their first album together that year, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, as well on Young’s 1970 LP After the Gold Rushand his later records (such as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young‘s Deja Vu). John Lennon‘s fourth proper solo album, Mind Games, is being reissued and expanded to include eight discs of remasters, remixes, session recordings and outtakes for its 50th anniversary. The box will be available on July 12. David Gilmour is back with his first solo album in nearly a decade. Luck and Strange is due on Sept. 6, and will be advanced by the single “The Piper’s Call” on Thursday. His late Pink Floyd bandmate Richard Wright appears on the title track, which makes use of elements from a 2007 jam at Gilmour’s house. According to a press release, the title “symbolizes the idea that in a world growing ever more complex, everything eventually simplifies down to a single, unified essence.
