Multinational carmaker Stellantis is planning a multibillion-dollar investment in South America. The firm, which has its corporate headquarters in the Netherlands, announced on Thursday that it would invest €5.6 billion ($6.1 billion) in the region from 2025 to 2030. Dutch multinational carmaker Stellantis on Monday said it has inked multi-billion euro frame agreement with leasing and fleet management company Ayvens. The deal involves the sale of to 500,000 vehicles across Europe by 2026. As per the agreement, Ayvens' affiliates will buy the vehicles for its long-term leasing fleet across Europe. The company expects the first significant delivery volumes to begin in the first half of 2024. Dutch carmaker Stellantis reported on Thursday higher profit and revenues in its fiscal 2023. Further, Stellantis is proposing to pay a dividend of €1.55 ($1.66) per share, an increase of approximately 16% compared to the prior year. The record date is April 23 and payment date is May 3. German carmaker Opel, a subsidiary of the multinational Stellantis Group, will pay workers bonuses of €1,850 ($1,985) after posting strong sales and financial success in 2023, the company announced on Thursday. "The bonus for 2023 is the fifth in a row - this is not a matter of course in such challenging times," said Opel chief executive Florian Huettl.
