The Rolling Stones continued to shake up their ’24 Hackney Diamonds set list on Saturday at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium with four tour debuts, including a Bob Dylan cover. You can see videos of their performance and the full set list below. The first curveball of the night came during the third song when the Stones unsheathed the 1967 single “Let’s Spend the Night Together,” which they last played in 2022. Two songs later, they broke out Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” which they’ve covered intermittently since 1995, and most recently in 2022. “We didn’t write this song,” Mick Jagger quipped ...

When you have six decades’ worth of music, inevitably, some songs are just not going to make the set list very often. With over two dozen albums to their name, equating to some 400 plus songs, the Rolling Stones have plenty of options to choose from, but the reality is that some numbers have only been performed a handful of times over the years. Some, in fact, haven’t been performed ever. When attending a Rolling Stones concert, it’s safe to assume you’ll hear some tried-and-true classics — things like “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Start Me Up” — but there’s always a ...

The Rolling Stones brought out three local heroes and delivered three tour debuts on the second show of their Hackney Diamonds tour on Thursday night at the 2024 New Orleans Jazz Fest. It was third time lucky for Mick Jagger’s band, who’d had to cancel their 2019 appearance at the festival as the singer recovered from heart surgery, and then had their 2021 booking canceled as a result of the pandemic. “Lots of things happened in between, but we’re here now!” Jagger told the crowd of their missed dates after opening with “Start Me Up,” “Get Off of My Cloud,” “Out of Time” and “Angry.” The first...

Beset by drug and alcohol problems for years, Ron Wood says he’s found a new of getting high. He’s out on the road again now that the Rolling Stones have kicked off their latest tour, following over a month of rehearsals in Los Angeles. They’ll play more than 20 shows across the U.S. through July 17 in support of last year’s Hackney Diamonds. “We really had our noses to the grindstone in Los Angeles and we rehearsed for five weeks,” Wood tells The Sun newspaper. “We have been getting back into the mode of playing stadiums.” READ MORE: Ron Wood’s Best Pre-Rolling Stones Songs Things look a litt...

The Rolling Stones kicked off their ’24 Hackney Diamonds tour at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Sunday with such age-defying splendor that one shudders to consider the details of their Faustian bargain. Led by octogenarians Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the Stones delivered an 18-song, two-hour set full of stadium-sized singalongs, along with a sprinkling of relative deep cuts and new tracks off last year’s Hackney Diamonds. You can see the set list below. The band wasted no time whipping the 72,000-capacity stadium into a frenzy with set opener “Start Me Up.” Jagger leapt, spun and sauntered acro...

Bill Wyman said he still dreams of being on tour with the Rolling Stones, even though he left the band over three decades ago. And he added that he’d quit two years earlier than official records say he did – and it had taken his colleagues that long to accept his decision. The Stones will commence a new North American tour tonight (April 28), but 87-year-old Wyman reported he’d be in one of his three homes (two in the U.K. and one in France) when Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood hit the stage. “The weird thing is ever since I’ve left, up until the present day, I still dream I’m on t...

The Rolling Stones will kick off their ’24 Hackney Diamonds tour on Sunday at Houston’s NRG Stadium, extending their reign as classic rock’s biggest touring juggernaut. In their 60-plus-year career, the Stones have played more than 2,100 concerts and remained one of the most coveted live acts in the business. They’ve sold hundreds of millions of records and racked up dozens of hits over the past six decades. Couple that with a new album, last year’s Hackney Diamonds, and it’s anyone’s guess what the Stones will play on their new trek. But however Sunday’s show pans out, it’s guaranteed to look...

Producers of an upcoming documentary about Anita Pallenberg have released unseen film of the ’60s-era actress and model on vacation with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in 1967. The ocean cruise is notable for including the moment Jagger came up with the title “Glimmer Twins” for himself and Richards. Another guest could tell the pair of Rolling Stones were celebrities but didn’t know who they were, so asked Jagger to offer a “glimmer” of a clue to their identities. The footage from Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg is accompanied by notes from her memoirs, which were left unpublishe...

The Rolling Stones‘ Mick Jagger showed off his wild dance moves dancing to the song “Moves Like Jagger” at a bar earlier this week. The rock legend shared a video of himself dancing to the song in a bar where a live band was playing the track, which was originally released in 2010 by the pop group Maroon 5. According to Jagger’s caption, the group that was performing was called Splash, though the location of the establishment wasn’t disclosed. “Moves like who!” the vocalist wrote. “Dadda who put you up to this,” Jagger’s son Lucas commented on the clip. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5B4sN_K4...
