A fierce fire caused panic among passengers on a ferry bound for the popular Thai holiday island of Koh Tao. The fire broke out in the engine room on Thursday morning, a few kilometres from the landing stage, the Bangkok Post newspaper reported, citing the emergency services. Several passengers jumped into the sea and were rescued by boats that came to help. There were no reports of any injuries, though some people were treated for minor smoke inhalation, the Thaiger news portal reported. Linking the Colosseum to the Forum and from the Baths of Caracalla to the Circus Maximus, Rome's new archaeological walkway will be a journey through the city's most famous archaeological sites The mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, and the Italian culture minister, Gennaro Sangiuliano, presented the winning bid for the design of the walkway on Tuesday. Labics Architecture Studio's design was chosen by a jury of experts from among 23 international submissions.
