An injury-riddled season for Nebraska's offense just got much worse. Starting linemen Turner Corcoran and Ethan Piper are done for the year because of injuries suffered during Saturday's win against Northwestern. That was the news Monday from head football coach Matt Rhule at his weekly press conference ahead of the Purdue game. But there was even more on the injury front. In addition to Corcoran (foot) and Piper (knee), the O-line will miss starter Nouredin Nouili for one or more weeks. Coach comments on that and more after Huskers’ fifth spring practice A portion of Nebraska football's fifth practice of spring was open to the media Tuesday morning, and head coach Matt Rhule explained afterward what he hopes will become a new Husker tradition: awarding single-digit jersey numbers to the team's toughest players. The offensive coaching staff is new, including the o-line coach. Cam Jurgens left for the NFL, and Nouredin Nouili is sus...

Knee injury sidelines freshman wide receiver Decoldest Crawford There was good and bad news Saturday on the injury front from Nebraska football camp. Head coach Scott Frost said after practice that offensive lineman Turner Corcoran, a likely starter at left guard, had "missed a couple days, but he was back out there for the last two" practices. Frost said he's not worried about Corcoran's availability for the Aug. 27 season opener. The news about Decoldest Crawford (pictured above) wasn't so good. The true freshman wide receiver will be out for an extended time with a knee injury, Frost said. ...
