Scotland's distilleries exported almost 10% less whisky by value last year than in 2022, the Scotch Whisky Association reported on Thursday. The association put the value of the exports at 5.6 billion pounds ($7.0 billion) for a fall of 9.5%. The decline by volume came in at as much as 22%. The sector is facing a global cost of living crisis that is hitting both consumption and inventories, the association believes.
