Pastrami sandwich

Ingredients for 4 servings:

1 clove of garlic
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Tabasco
Cayenne pepper
8 slices e.g. French farmhouse bread
2 tsp honey mustard
200 g pastrami (smoked and spiced beef brisket)
4 small gherkins
50 g rocket
Pepper

Preparation:

1. Peel garlic, crush using a garlic press. Mix the mayonnaise with the garlic and season with Tabasco and cayenne pepper. Pepper to taste.

2. Spread a thin layer of mustard on the bread slices and spread the garlic mayonnaise cream on top.

3. Spread the pastrami on half of the bread.

4. Slice the cucumber. Cut off the rocket stems.

5. Place the cucumber and rocket on top of the pastrami, sprinkle with pepper and cover with the remaining slices of bread. Cut the bread in half and serve.
