Tyreek Hill told a Kansas City radio station Thursday that he plans to retire following the 2025 season, expressing a desire to move into a number of business endeavors. Hill has been in the NFL for seven years and still has four years remaining on his contract with the Miami Dolphins.

“I’m going for 10, man,” Hill said in an interview with Sports Radio 810 WHB in Kansas City. “I’m gonna finish out this contract with the Dolphins and then I’m gonna call it quits. I want to go into the business side. I want to do so many things in my life, bro.”

Hill’s comments were far from an official announcement, but his plans do seem to mesh well with his likely future in the NFL. Though he still has four years remaining on his Dolphins contract, signed last offseason, a buyout clause could save cap space for the team and provide a lump sum to Hill upon retirement. The two parties could also rework his contract in the meantime to better suit the situation.

Considering his future, Hill expressed a desire to invest in gaming, his passion outside of football, as well as various sponsorship deals to secure an income through his platform.

“So I really want to get into like the gaming space. I really want to get huge in that and that’s kind of what I’m doing right now,” Hill said. “I’m using my platform, creating a gaming team, which isn’t launched yet. It should launch by the end of this month. I’m gonna just sign like different content creators, different athletes. I just been working that, talking to different sponsors.”

In his first season with Miami, Hill had one of the best seasons of his career, catching 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns. Between his seven stellar seasons in the NFL and a Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs, he is already making a formidable case as a future Hall-of-Famer and could further strengthen that case in seasons to come.
