Holland & Masvidal Get Into Another Heated Altercation

Kevin Holland and Jorge Masvidal appear to have gotten into an unfriendly verbal battle once again this week.

A leaked video by TMZ Sports shows Masvidal walking around shirtless in the streets needing to be held back from a confrontation.

But there was someone present that was not shown on camera – and that was Holland.

According to his manager, TMZ said he asked Masvial something along the lines of “what’s up baby girl?”

That follows the first heated exchange between the two fighters that was caught on camera near the elevators inside the hotel.

It’s unclear what started the first one, but the two needed to be held back, with Holland clearly stating to Masvidal “Burns runs through me I’m done.”

What Holland is referring to is Masvidal’s matchup with fifth-ranked Gilbert Burns.

Masvidal, who has failed to get his hand raised in his past three fights, said if he loses this next one it “could be the last one” of his UFC career.

“If I lose, I’m pretty much calling it quits,” Masvidal reportedly said during the UFC 287 “Countdown” episode. “But a win against Gilbert means that things are headed in the right direction.”

Both Holland and Masvidal were asked about the first altercations during a press conference and UFC President Dana White wasn’t too happy about the question.

“These two aren’t even fighting – knock it off,” he said.

“What’s the other question about the fight who these guys are fighting, or [do] you just want to start sh** in here?”

While both aren’t fighting each other you have to wonder if that’s a fight that White will want to make in the future.

There is clearly some tension between Masvidal and Holland – but White isn’t in the mood to talk about it at least yet.

But it will be interesting to see if Masvidal wins his fight against Burns, as White said that Masvidal will be next to face Leon Edwards if he too comes out victorious against his next opponent, who is expected to be Colby Covington.

UFC 287’s full main card starts at 10 pm EDT tonight and can be viewed on ESPN+ for $79.99.

The fights will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida – with the main event featuring the rematch of Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira for the Middleweight belt.
