Jeremy Pernell’s Top 100 Prospects for the 2023 NFL Draft

If you’re anything like me, April 27-29 will be your version of Christmas. And no, I’m not being hyperbolic.

On a professional level, it’s the culmination of hundreds of hours spent watching film. In some ways, it’ll be the deciding factor of a few friendly debates I’ve had with several other talent evaluators.

But to be honest, long before I was making a living evaluating players, I treated the NFL Draft like a personal holiday.

I’ve been obsessed with football since I came out of the womb, and I’ve been a film junkie ever since I was old enough to comprehend that the game was more than simply see-ball, hit-ball.

Growing up, when most kids my age were still buying comics and reading about Superman and the X-Men, I was geeking out by learning the intricacies of the West Coast Offense and the philosophy behind the “46” defense.

My introduction to the draft came when I was still a teenager in 1992. My favorite college player at the time was Washington defensive tackle Steve Emtman. After watching him wreck shop for one of the best defenses of all time and leading the Huskies to a national championship, I wanted to witness him getting drafted.

I was captivated by all the banter and discussions about the players. I was hooked immediately and have watched every second of every draft since. Mark Twain was right, find a job you enjoy doing and you will never have to work a day in your life.

And so, without further ado …
