Japan’s leading field recording expert and pioneer of natural sound recording. He continues to digitally record the sounds of wild birds, insects, frogs, mammals, and other creatures in general, as well as the sounds of natural scenery. There are more than 500 species. He also shoots video and photography, and has published numerous books and CDs. The vast sound library has provided materials for a wide variety of applications, including co-authored books, textbooks and teaching materials, and commercials.
