Hunter Biden Sues Trump Aide Gary Ziegler Over Releasing His Laptop

Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit against one of former President Donald Trump’s White House aides.

The first son’s attorney denounced the laptop scandal as a “sustained, unhinged and obsessed campaign” to advance an “extremist” agenda.

The complaint, filed in the California federal court, accuses Gary Ziegler, an aide to Trump’s trade advisor Peter Navarro, of accessing Biden’s private data through illegal means. The filing claims that Ziegler, as well as ten other unnamed defendants, spent many hours “accessing, tampering with, manipulating, altering, copying and otherwise using” private computer data. They then published “tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photos, and dozens of videos and recordings” that belonged to Biden.

The lawsuit claimed that Ziegler compiled a database of 128,000 emails allegedly sent by Biden. It also referenced the public statements Ziegler has made where he claimed he had used information from Biden’s laptop as the basis for a report titled “Report on the Biden Laptop,” which was released in October.

A portion of the data stolen included information that included Biden’s bank records, financial documents and credit card details, which were stored on his iPhone and saved to iCloud. According to the complainant, this information was heavily guarded by many technical and code-based barriers and could only have been accessed via advanced technical understanding.

In response, Ziegler took to social media to declare that any attempt to serve him with a legal process would be met with violence. “If the U.S. president’s son sends a proxy to illegally trespass on my property I will blow their f—— brains out,” he said.

Ziegler also questioned the timing of the complaint, just one day after an impeachment inquiry for President Joe Bidenwas announced.
