Usher has taken time from Las Vegas to visit France for his Paris residency.

On his second day performing in Paris, Usher wore an all-white suit as he sang and danced on stage at La Seine Musical. A day before, though, the multi-Grammy winner kept himself in check as he sang “Boyfriend” to actress Gabrielle Union but stopped in the middle of a line as he didn’t want any trouble with her husband, former NBA player Dwyane Wade.

“Okay, let’s stop, let’s not get carried away,” Usher jokingly told the audience. “This is Dwyane Wade, I ain’t crazy. That man will knock my whole head off and then dunk it.”

Usher posted the video of his exchange with the audience and the celebrity couple on Instagram and captioned it, “Look, I don’t want no smoke

Night one in Paris.”

The hesitation in singing to Union may be a direct result of the trouble caused by his serenading to Keke Palmer in July, which led to her son’s father, Darius Jackson, commenting on her outfit during Usher’s show. Palmer and Jackson welcomed their baby boy, Leo, in February this year and though they were still in a relationship when the comment of disapproval was made, it is now unclear as to whether they are still together.

Asked if she was still with Jackson, Palmer told the Today Show, “I’m going to take a page out of Beyonce’s book: Mind ya’ll’s business.”

On Sunday, it was announced that Usher will lead the Super Bowl next year in Las Vegas.
