Pokemon Go shocked players with one of its latest Field Research challenges.
An avid Pokemon Go player took to Reddit to show a strange Field Research challenge they came across during their travels. The challenge is titled “Scan The Cock,” which sounds possibly NSFW.
What is this really all about?
Field research task has unfortunate inuendo
The Pokemon Go subreddit exploded after a trainer pointed out a strange Field Research task called “Scan The Cock.”
Luckily this isn’t some kinky bedroom task. The Cock is actually the name of a pub that the Pokemon Go trainer lives near. Scanning local Pokestops is quite common in Pokemon Go — this Pokestop just happened to have a very funny inuendo for trainers to poke fun at.
This led to a lot of funny responses from Pokemon Go fans:
- Some people will do anything for a Poffin
- I’ve done it for less
- I can’t figure out why I’ve been banned, all I did was the task they asked for
- Let me help you with that
- Download Tinder. You can have this done in 20 minutes
There have been similarly wacky incidents in Pokemon Go before. A recent bug left Pokemon moving in a questionable manner during a gym battle. This led some trainers to say: “Now this is a battle.”

Pokemon Go is usually a very age-appropriate and wholesome app for all ages. Maybe just don’t bring it near a strip club or any store with a questionable name if you don’t want kids scanning something strange.
