After recent rumors swept social media, Daniel Radcliffe confirmed this week that he is not preparing to assume the role of Wolverine in the next X-Men movie.

Fans have noticed that Radcliffe has bulked up since his Harry Potter days and have been speculating that he will take over for Hugh Jackman in the teased Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

However, Radcliffe shared the disappointing news during a lie detector test with Vanity Fair.

When asked by Merrily We Roll Along co-stars Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez if he started the rumor himself, the actor said, “No.”

Asked if his new physique was obtained for any particular reason, he laughed, and said, “Yes. I got buff because I am obsessive, and I want to.”

Finally, Radcliffe added that he was “flattered” by fans’ comments but will not be portraying Wolverine.

This is not the first time that Radcliffe has been pegged for the beloved role.

In 2022, he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and simply laughed the same rumor off.
