New York Giants coach Brian Daboll has confirmed quarterback Daniel Jones has suffered an ACL injury in their game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

With the injury, Jones will miss the rest of the season.

“He’s worked really hard to get back, and it’s unfortunate,” Daboll said.

Jones’ injury occurred in the second quarter when Jones dropped back for a pass and his right knee looked to have buckled under him while going down awkwardly and immediately grabbed his right knee.

He was then ruled out for the rest of the game and replaced by Tommy DeVito

Before leaving the game, he went four for nine on passing for 25 yards.

“He felt like he buckled,” Daboll said of the injury. “Then he was running it off. We went over to him, we talked to him, he said, ‘I’m good.’ Then he went back in and obviously wasn’t.”

DeVito finished the game with 175 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Giants ended up losing 6-30 to the Las Vegas Raiders. They currently sit in last place in the NFC East and face the Dallas Cowboys on November 12.
