Nottingham Forest were beaten 1-0 by Brighton at the AMEX Stadium today and Neco Williams was the only player who can take any credit out of the defeat.

TheForest defender was in the starting eleven once again for Nuno Espirito Santo and he showcased just how valuable he can be for the Reds.

The Reds were second-best throughout the contest and Nuno Espirito Santo got his team selection badly wrong.

Forest will hope youngster can remain at the City Ground

Regardless of what division Forest are in next season, the hope will be that Williams can remain at the City Ground.

Forest are right in the mix of the relegation battle and losing to Luton next Saturday just unthinkable.

With a points deduction looming, Forest need more players to show the level of commitment and desire of Williams.

He was the only player out there today who could hold his head up after the defeat with his effort unquestionable throughout.

Williams is a young player who is still learning his trade and hopefully, Forest can keep nurturing him next season regardless of the division they find themselves in.
