Kumagaya Sakura Tsutsumi , where 500 cherry trees stretch for 2km

Photo courtesy of Kumagaya City Kumagaya Sakura Tsutsumi has been known as a famous cherry blossom spot for 400 years and has been selected as one of the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." Not only cherry blossoms, but also canola flower bloom side by side. The contrast between the pale pink of the cherry blossoms and the bright yellow of the canola flower is truly beautiful! This is a must-see spot that can only be seen here.

How to enjoy the Kumagaya Cherry Blossom Festival

The Sakura Festival is held from late March to early April, during which the trees are lit up.
The cherry blossoms are beautiful during the day, but at night you can enjoy a different view. There are also outdoor food stalls, so why not walk through the cherry blossom tunnel with a delicious meal in hand? My recommended food is takoyaki!
It can get very cold at night, so it's a good idea to dress warmly.
