Love is Blind star snaps back at mom-shaming trolls after she loses daughter's cat

Love is Blind star Jessica Vestal has slammed mom-shaming trolls on TikTok after two of her cats – one being her daughter’s pet – ran out of the door. As a result, she felt like “the worst mom ever”.

Since Jessica launched to fame on Love is Blind, she’s always been incredibly protective when it comes to her daughter, Autumn. Following the Netflix show reunion, she is hitting back at mom-shamers on TikTok.

Love is Blind star slams mom-shaming

Love is Blind’s Jessica Vestal took to TikTok to reveal she’s getting tagged in “hateful comments,” despite filtering out “mean things people have to say about her,” but the “mom-shaming” is getting to her.

“One of the things I do well in my life is being a good mom, so I woke up today feeling really defeated and was like, ‘Listen, I’m just going to take a break,'” Jessica continued in the video.

“I know who I am, I love who I am, but sometimes when you read so many things about yourself, you start to believe it, I’m already thinking I might just be the world’s worst mother,” she told her followers.

Storytime: Jessica lost daughter’s cats

Jessica explained how, while preparing balloons for her daughter Autumn’s birthday, someone left the door open in her house before one of her cats got out of the front door – her boy cat, Leo.

“Leo is Autumn’s baby. I walk around the neighbourhood in complete shambles, I looked under people’s cars screaming, I was on a mission to find our cat,” Jessica exclaimed in the four-minute storytime.

Panicking Autumn would think she’s “the worst mom ever” when she told her the sad news, her neighbours helped her with the search party. She said, “I was such a mess, I couldn’t form a sentence.”

Then, Love is Blind’s Jessica, who already felt “low” from mom-shaming, quickly came inside to charge her phone during the search, and that’s when she finally figured out where her daughter’s cat really was…

Panic over, she found Leo

Jessica suddenly hears a ‘meow’ sound, where she realised Leo had hid in her dressing room and “got stuck”. She then “squeezed him so hard,” adding that she “needed something like this to happen”.

“It reminded me of the goodness and kindness in the world, because these strangers and other people that didn’t know me showed me so much kindness,” Jessica told her TikTok followers.

“Everyone just kind of came to my rescue and really showed me a level of love and compassion I didn’t think I deserved today. I’m feeling super grateful and I’m going to make Autumn feel special,” she said.”
