World number one Novak Djokovic will not play at the Miami Masters starting on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old Serbian announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday: "Unfortunately I won’t be playing the Miami Open this year. At this stage of my career, I’m balancing my private and professional schedule.
"I’m sorry that I won’t experience some of the best and most passionate fans in the world."
At the current ATP tournament in Indian Wells in California, the record 24-times grand slam winner was surprisingly knocked out in the third round against the world number 123 Luca Nardi from Italy.
