David Moyes has opened up on one particular West Ham United player who he really loves working with.
West Ham United manager David Moyes is blessed to work with so many top-class players during training sessions at Rush Green.
The Hammers have come on leaps and bounds over the past few years, and we now have a squad of players well capable of challenging for a top six finish in the Premier League table.
The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus have received all the plaudits this season, and rightly so. However, it’s one of our unsung heroes who Moyes has chosen to praise this week.
Vladimir Coufal has been extremely solid defensively for us this season, and he has seven assists in 27 Premier League games to his name as well (Transfermarkt).
From a personal perspective, he will be really disappointed to have been dropped for the Czech Republic international setup for their next two games as a punishment for his bad behaviour during the last international break.
However, his 2023/24 campaign with the Hammers has been very successful indeed. And now he has got his flowers from Moyes…

The Scot addressed the media after our 1-1 draw with Aston Villa yesterday afternoon.
And Moyes chose to praise Coufal, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“It was a great assist from Vlad. He got some right at the start of the season and he’s got a few more since. He’s a great lad and he’s great to work with and I think he puts in a shift in every week for the team and he’s a really good team player.”
I can imagine that the 31-year-old gives nothing less than 100 per cent during training sessions.
He is an absolute warrior, and we’re very lucky to have him. Sure, he isn’t the most fancy of players, but he bleeds Claret and Blue.
