Andy Cohen 'straight on phone to Pump Rules star' as reunion runs way over time

While some Vanderpump Rules viewers are saying season 11 “sucks,” Andy Cohen was so impressed by this year’s reunion episode, he says he was straight on the phone to Lisa Vanderpump about it. The Pump Rules reunion host gave his take on what went down during the cast’s get-together, describing it as “compelling.”

Andy Cohen has long been hosting Bravo reunion shows. Speaking during his radio show, SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, he explains how he’s not a “boss” on Pump Rules like he is with some Real Housewives shows, he’s simply a huge fan of the show and hosts the reunion.

Vanderpump Rules ‘was so fun to watch’

Bravo’s new season of Vanderpump Rules comes after the reality TV world was shaken by ‘Scandoval’ last year.

Season 11 is still seeing the cast deal with the aftermath of the cheating scandal, and many fans of the show are left unimpressed by Tom Sandoval’s attempted “redemption storylines.”

Speaking on his radio show, Andy said how he found season 11 “so fun to watch” and binge-watched seven episodes in 24 hours to get caught up before hosting the reunion.

Andy goes on to say how he feels Lala Kent has become a “voice of reason” on the Bravo show, adding how he thought season 11 was her “best season” yet.

Andy called Vanderpump Rules’ Lisa

Speaking to John Hill on his radio show, Andy admits “nothing could be as heated as last year” but he believes “a lot of the topics were electric and intense” during season 11.

After singing this year’s show’s praises, the reunion show host adds how “something happens” at the end of the episode’s filming which ended up “adding a big chunk of time to it.”

He continued to explain how he thinks “There are two kinds of reunions”:

“…The kinds of reunions that when I leave the taping, I either want to engage the producers more about it, and I, on the way wherever I’m going, I immediately am on the phone with producers and occasionally I’m texting cast members. Maybe the next morning I check in on some people, see how they’re doing or what they thought, or the total converse where I just want to go home, have a tequila, listen to music, and forget about the entire affair.

“This was one that I was wanting to engage in. Talked to Alex Baskin on the way home. Talked to Lisa Vanderpump, was really kind of doing rounds a little bit because there was so much to talk about and it was, yeah. It was compelling.”
