Newly signed Bayern Munich full back Sacha Boey has suffered another injury setback and it is unclear whether he can return this season.

Bundesliga champions Bayern said the Frenchman Boey suffered a torn muscle in his left hamstring during training on Wednesday.

The statement said he would be out for "the next few weeks." The Bundesliga ends in less than two months on May 18, and should Bayern reach the Champions League final that would be on June 1.

Boey arrived in January from Turkey's Galatasaray. He played two matches before injuring the left thigh for the first time, and he hasn't played since then.

Bayern are second in the league, 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen. Their next match is on March 30 against Borussia Dortmund, and upcoming matches also include Champions League quarter-finals against Premier League leaders Arsenal.
