Scheana Shay is hinting at her ‘romance’ with John Mayer again, this time on a Vanderpump Rules game. It’s not the first time she’s talked about her “A-list celebrity” romance from years ago.
While living with The Hills’ Stacie Adams, Scheana Shay claims to have dated actor John Mayer in a “throuple”. She first admitted the ‘fling’ on her podcast but brought it up again on Vanderpump Rules.

Scheana Shay hinted at her John Mayer romance, which the actor has never confirmed, on Vanderpump Rules’ March 19 episode. After admitting she’d been intimate with an “A-list celebrity,” she gave a clue.
“Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland, I’ll say that,” she told producers, saying the name of the actor’s song. It came up in a confessional after Scheana played Never Have I Ever with her Bravo co-stars.
Scheana was referred to as John Mayer’s friend at a celebrity sighting in 2009, and has since claimed on the Flashbacks podcast she got his number at a party she was working at, after he dated Jennifer Aniston.

Pump Rules star lived with Stacie Adams
Scheana Shay mentioned her ‘fling’ with John Mayer on the Flashbacks podcast. “I was living with [‘The Hills’ alum Stacie Adams] at the time,” she recalled. “This went on for about six months.”
“It just became, you know, kind of the three of us. We had a little throuple going on“ she added. The reality star admitted, though, that she got jealous near the end of their alleged relations.
“And then even after him and I stopped talking, they continued talking and there were, like, a lot of things,” she added. Since then, Scheana has moved on with her husband, Brock Davies.
Scheana mentions John’s song
John revealed on a December 2022 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast that the song – which Scheana mentioned – Body is a Wonderland, is about his high school girlfriend and he wrote it when he was 21.
While working as a cocktail waitress, Scheana was briefly linked to the musician in 2009. The timelines match to when Scheana claims she met John, who dated Aniston on-and-off from 2008 to 2009.
He was 31 years old when he became friends with the Pump Rules star and her roommate Stacie, who was later one of Scheana’s bridesmaids at her 2014 wedding, which aired on Bravo.
