In the 12 seasons Dr Younan Nowzaradan has been caring for patients on My 600-lb Life, he has likely seen all kinds of scenarios and worrying health concerns. But, during season 12 episode 3, Delana Boyer ends up calling emergency services after a regular trip to the grocery store. This was the moment she knew she needed Dr Now’s help.
Delana Boyer appears as the main star of My 600-lb Life season 12 episode 3. The episode airs on March 20 and follows Delana on her weight loss journey. Fans are introduced to Delana, as well as her biological mom, and her partner. One thing the TLC show cast member wanted to do as well as shifting hundreds of lbs, was mend the relationship with her daughter whom she’d grown apart from. As viewers of the show will know, the success rate of many patients is low, and some even lose their lives. Delana was tired of living her life in fear, admitting she was “terrified of falling” and “breaking a bone.”
Meet My 600-lb Life’s Delana Boyer
My 600-lb Life viewers get to know Greenville, Tennessee native Delana during episode 3.
She explains how she’s faced many hardships in life, including her mother being absent for parts of her childhood, and dealing with abusive partners.
At the beginning of the episode, the TLC star weighs in at almost 650lb.
As Delana’s partner and friend arrange a U-Haul van to move to Houston, she tells cameras how “devastated” she feels to not be able to help.
She said: “A few years ago, I would’ve been out there right with him… no problem…”
Delana loses over 100lb
Although Delana was struggling with life due to her weight at the start of the episode, she was positive about being able to head to Houston and receive Dr Now’s help.
She expressed how she was “terrified” of having an accident attempting to do something such as getting into a U-Haul van. Delana said: “I wouldn’t even attempt it because I’d fall… and then I’d break a bone, and then I’d be in bed forever.”
As her treatment with Dr Now begins, things get off to a tough start. But, later in the episode, Delana loses over 100lb before being approved for bariatric surgery.
After her operation, Delana was on track to continue losing 20lb each week on the TLC doctor’s plan.

She’s in a relationship with partner, Ronnie, who writes comments on her posts admiring her beauty.
Fans of the show also take to Delana’s comments sections of her most recent posts to call her a “warrior,” and an “inpsiration.”
More told her to “keep up the good work,” adding: “You’re amazing,” and “Congratulations on your success! Just watched your episode and hope you continue your success and inspiring others to do the same.”
