Lala Kent is super excited to share her solo venture into parenthood with the world. The Vanderpump Rules star is expecting her second child after welcoming her daughter, Ocean, with her ex in March three years ago. Despite making moves to expand her family, Lala recently explained how she struggles with “trusting men,” after her last relationship.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Lala explained her journey to “feeling normal” after the split. She told Jeff how she was super grateful her former partner wasn’t a main Vanderpump Rules cast member. Bravo fans can see the difficult dynamics the show’s current cast faces following other splits within the group such as Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval‘s.
Lala Kent ‘struggles trusting men’
Pump Rules star Lala appeared as a guest on Jeff Lewis Live this March.
When asked about her healing journey, Lala told Jeff:
“…it has taken me a really long time. It’s still really hard for me to go out and trust men. I had the luxury of my person not being on a show as a main cast member with me. Had my ex been a main cast member on the show, you know, I would’ve had to have really tough conversations and maybe I would’ve lost my mind…”
The 33-year-old added: “Maybe, I don’t know how to shut up, so if you put someone in front of me who’s done me very dirty, I’m going off and maybe that purge would’ve been good for me…”
She ‘still doesn’t have closure’
While Lala opened up about how her “healing” is going “well,” she added how she feels she “still doesn’t have closure.”
She told Jeff: “…but the way that mine ended and how it’s been, it took me a very long time to find closure and heal. I still don’t have the closure. The healing part, I feel like we’re doing really well.”
The Bravo star’s relationship with ex Randall Emmett ended three years ago.
Pump Rules star says co-parenting ‘rips her heart out’
Speaking on CBS’ The Talk this March, Lala explained more about her parenting journey.
The Vanderpump Rules star said: “I’m a control freak, not that you can control children. You know I’ve done the baby daddy. It’s been difficult for me. I want an absolute… I don’t have to share this baby on a birthday or on Christmas morning.”
She added: “I know it sounds selfish to say I just want it to be mine but until you’ve gone through the sharing of a child, it’s extremely difficult. It rips my heart out. I’m not going to get emotional, but it rips my heart out.”
