‘Very happy’: Fabrizio Romano says £34m player is loving it at Liverpool amid rumours he could go

Liverpool are set for a lot of big changes this summer.

Indeed, Jurgen Klopp is set to leave the club at the end of the season, and while the search for a new manager is making most of the headlines at the moment, there will also be some big transfer stories on the agenda.

Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes are set to form something of a recruitment super team at Anfield, and with the Moises Caicedo money still burning a hole in the Reds’ pockets, there could be some serious moves on Merseyside.

As much as the incomings are exciting at Anfield, outgoings may be the big story this summer.

Indeed, Mohamed Salah is still at the centre of a lot of speculation surrounding a move to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on the JD Football YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Salah’s future, and he says that while he expects Saudi clubs to revisit this deal, Salah is very happy at Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah is very happy at Liverpool

Romano shared what he knows about the £34m man amid rumours he could leave.

“Last summer was more than serious. In the last week of August Saudi put together a £150m package for Mo Salah. Massive respect to Mo Salah because many players would in that position say let me go, but he was super professional and super respectful. The Saudi interest is still there, at the moment there’s no discussion because they are focused on this season. Let’s see what happens in the summer. I’m sure they will try again for Salah, but I’m also sure that Mo is very happy in Liverpool,” Romano said.

Difficult decision

Salah has a really tough decision coming up this summer.

If Liverpool do win the Premier League, there will almost be the feeling that this is the perfect time to end his story at Anfield and make the move to Saudi to earn a fortune in the same way so many other players have over the past 12 months.

However, with Jurgen Klopp set to leave this summer, there’s also half a feeling that Salah would be leaving the Reds at the worst possible moment as the Merseyside club step into the post-Klopp unknown.

Salah is in something of a win-win situation, he’s happy at Liverpool now, and if he wants to leave, he will earn an unimaginable amount of cash over in the middle east.
