17 leave, 16 offloaded: Deciding whether to keep or sell every single Nottingham Forest player this summer

It’s never quiet at Nottingham Forest when the transfer windows come into play and this summer looks like being no exception.

At this stage Forest don’t know what division they will be in – but one way or another it promises to be a summer of hectic activity once again.

If Forest do remain in the Premier League, it’s likely to be a case of offloading several players who are surplus to requirements.

Should the Reds drop back into the Championship, it could well be a case of offloading some of the more established players back to top-tier clubs.

Either way it looks like being a manic one and we’ve decided whether to keep or offload every member of the Nottingham Forest first-team squad.

Matt Turner – Offload

Quite simply hasn’t worked out and the number two custodian should be sent packing the summer.

Odysseas Vlachodimos – Offload

Likewise, Vlachdimos has also failed to make his mark on the Premier League and won’t want to be a third choice at this stage of his career.

Matz Sels – Keep

The Belgian saved a penalty for his country recently and he should be kept on after some good performances this season.

Neco Williams – Keep

Arguably the most improved player in the Forest squad this season, Williams is actually starting to show that he can be a future City Ground star.

Gonzalo Montiel – Offload

Simply hasn’t played enough for Forest. Although there is clearly a player in there, his time on loan hasn’t seen him do enough for the Reds to warrant a £9 million permanent fee.

Harry Toffolo – Keep

As honest as the day is long, Toffolo deserves to be kept on at the City Ground and is a very useful backup option for Forest to call upon.

Nuno Tavares – Offload

Much like Montiel – see above – the man on loan from Arsenal just hasn’t played enough for Forest to warrant keeping him around.

Ola Aina – Keep

It was claimed over the weekend that Forest are going to offer Aina a new contract in the summer and that would be most welcomed given that he’s largely been steady.

Moussa Niakhate – Offload

This one might be controversial but Forest might be wise to cash in on Niakhate if they can. Hasn’t played an awful lot this season and perhaps the Reds could attract better.

Murillo – Keep

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Murillo but hopefully, Forest can remain in the division and plot a situation where they keep hold of the star defender.

Willy Boly – Keep

Another player who could earn anew contract is Boly and again this would prove a popular move from a Forest perspective.

Felipe – Retiring

The defender has already announced his retirement at the end of the season and Felipe will hang up his boots in the summer.

Andrew Omobamidele – Keep

The Republic of Ireland player is set for a bright future and as a result, he should be kept at Forest for next season.

Ryan Yates – Keep

Currently, the club captain, Yates is very unlikely to be going anywhere and he has a role to play still at Forest.

Ibrahim Sangare – Keep

Possibly another controversial one but Sangare should be kept and Forest should be building their team around the qualities that he brings as a defensive midfielder.

Nicolas Dominguez – Keep

A classy player, the Argentine performer continues to improve all the time and hopefully, it will be possible to keep hold of him.

Cheikhou Kouyate – Offload

It’s the end of the road for Kouyate at Forest and his contract surely won’t be extended beyond the summer.

Danilo – Keep

The Brazilian has bags of potential and if he does stay with Forest next season, he will look to strive for consistency.

Morgan Gibbs-White – Keep

Another player linked with a move away from Forest is Gibbs-White, with Arsenal currently keen. The Reds must keep him at all costs.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – Keep

The winger is growing with each appearance and he’s another player who should be kept on Trentside.

Anthony Elanga – Keep

Five goals and seven assists speak volumes and hopefully, Elanga lines up for Forest again next season.

Taiwo Awoniyi – Keep

It’s frustrating with Awoniyi as he’s often injured. However, he scores goals and the challenge is brining in another striker to support him.

Chris Wood – Keep

Another player who does deserve a new deal. Wood has reached double figures for goals this season.

Divock Origi – Offload

A complete waste of time, sadly. Origi looked a decent signing on the face of things but he’s failed to score in the Premier League.

Out on loan

Lewis O’Brien – Offload

Would do a job in the Championship but Forest look unlikely to keep him.

Emmanuel Dennis – Offload

Pointless signing which Forest need to move on from this summer.

Hwang Ui-jo – Offload

Won’t play for Forest and should be moved on in the summer.

Loic Mbe Soh – Offload

Another player who just hasn’t cut it in England. It’s time for Mbe Soh to put some roots down elsewhere.

Josh Bowler – Offload

Will almost certainly get a chance if Forest go down but otherwise a move looks on the cards.

Ethan Horvath – Offload

Very unlikely to commit to Forest again and will leave in the summer.

Jonathan Panzo – Offload

A victim of the success of the last couple of years at Forest, Panzo is perhaps the right player at the wrong time.

Alex Mighten – Offload

Needs regular football now and he simply won’t get that at Forest.

Brandon Aguilera – Keep

The Costa Rican performer has bags of talent and he looks like becoming a future Forest star.

Joe Worrall – Offload

It feels as though Worrall has burnt his bridges at Forest. A poor showing at Besiktas on loan isn’t likely to win him a reprieve.
