Max Boyens has returned to Vanderpump Rules, causing drama left, right and center. Just one episode back and he’s already hooked up with Katie Maloney… but her ex Tom Schwartz is not a happy bunny.
Tom Schwartz was slammed for kissing Raquel Leviss in the previous season. Now Katie Maloney is having her pick of Tom’s friendship group, and has hooked up with Max Boyens – causing lots of drama.
Vanderpump Rules sees return of Max
Max Boyens returned to the latest Vanderpump Rules season after messaging Scheana Shay about where she was partying with Katie. Scheana then “felt a vibe between him and Katie” while out.
The next morning, Scheana realised Max’s location was at Katie’s home, before telling Brock Davies she thinks they are hooking up. It comes after Schwartz admitted he made out with Scheana 12 years ago.
After leaving his role as general manager of TomTom in May 2021, Max went on to work as the general manager at TAO Group from June 2022 until January 2023, and is now CFO of Una Más Cocktails.
Max called Tom Schwartz days later
During the Vanderpump Rules after show, Tom revealed his friend Max called him up five days after hooking up with his ex-wife. “I could tell he felt so uncomfortable,” Schwartz revealed.
Max apologized to Schwartz, blaming the behaviour on too much alcohol. However, Brock told Schwartz first and said, “We were partying the other night and Katie left with somebody in your friend group.”
Brock added, “It’s your boy, bro. She f**ked your best friend.” Schwartz soon realized he was talking about Max, who was on Pump Rules until season 9, when he was fired from the Bravo show.
Fans ‘proud’ of ‘hook-up revenge’
When Katie received major backlash for hooking up with Tom’s friend on Vanderpump Rules, viewers were confused. They felt she had every right considering he kissed her former friend, Raquel Leviss.
One fan wrote on Twitter, “Bravo has been hyping up this boring Scheana [Shay] and Schwartz kiss while gatekeeping Katie hooking up with Max??!! #VanderpumpRules.”
Another penned, “I’m confused why Katie is in trouble for hooking up with max. She should have hooked up with all of Tom’s brothers for all the times he cheated on her. Get him where it HURTS #PumpRules.”
