"I think": Chris Sutton now shares whether he thinks Crystal Palace will get relegated

The latest Crystal Palace loss sees them just five points above the drop zone, and now Chris Sutton has given his verdict.

For Oliver Glasner, seven games are remaining this season, and he’ll be desperate to get them out of the way as he continues to endure poor form.

Crystal Palace now sit just five points above Luton Town who occupy 18th currently.

This is due to a run of just one win in Glasner’s opening six games – which have seen three losses with the latest being against Man City.

The remaining seven games all come against teams above them, including six who are in the fight for Europe.

Palace face Liverpool on Sunday to kick-start that run.

Now, BBC’s Chris Sutton has shared his view on the survival hopes of Palace.

Chris Sutton predicts Crystal Palace’s relegation fate

Speaking with Mark Chapman on the Monday Night Club podcast for the BBC, Sutton shared his latest verdict on whether Palace will be relegated or not.

The pundit explained that he wasn’t too confident about the Eagles’ survival, before explaining exactly why.

“I would be a little bit worried about Palace, they’ve got a tricky run-in, just in my eyes, not that my eyes are all that good, but I think they’ve got a tricky run-in, Palace.”

Sutton isn’t wrong either, with a run-in that no team would envy and one even the likes of Man City would likely find harsh, Palace needs to find points somewhere, or relegation could very quickly become a concern.

How difficult is the run-in for Oliver Glasner

The run-in for Palace is possibly the most difficult in the league, here’s the entire seven-game run Palace will need to get points from to put relegation concerns to bed.

From this list, there are two or three games which stand out as winnable and games in which Glasner will fancy his side grabbing all three points.

The home games against West Ham, Newcastle and Manchester United are all games in which the Eagles could spring a surprise.

Meanwhile, the away games against Fulham and Wolves are the two against teams closest to Glasner’s side and are huge opportunities for points.
