West Ham players need to see the word official Leverkusen website used to describe the Hammers

David Moyes has taken his West Ham United team out to Germany for our Europa League quarter-final clash with Bayer Leverkusen tomorrow night.

West Ham boss David Moyes will be desperate for his side to get a positive result against Leverkusen in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg clash at BayArena.

The Hammers are definitely underdogs to progress through to the semi-finals of the competition, especially with the news that Jarrod Bowen is set to miss out.

Xabi Alonso has also spoken out about just how seriously he and his players are taking the two clashes with West Ham.

Bayer Leverkusen are absolutely dominating the Bundesliga right now. They hold a 16-point advantage over second placed Bayern Munich, and they can secure the title with a win against Werder Bremen this weekend.

We all saw just how hard Bayern made it for Arsenal at the Emirates last night, so tomorrow’s Europa League clash with be one of the hardest tests we have faced as a club for quite some time.

However, the Hammers players might just be slightly more motivated now than they were before, if that is at all possible…

Official Leverkusen website does David Moyes a favour ahead of Europa League quarter-final

I cannot wait for tomorrow’s game. I actually like the fact that we’re heading into it as underdogs as well.

Leverkusen will obviously represent a really stern test for Moyes and his players out in Germany tomorrow night, and back in East London next week of course.

However, I think they may have just given our players a real reason to turn up at the BayArena…

Leverkusen’s official website have described West Ham as defensively ‘susceptible’.

Now, while they might be spot on, the description hardly smacks of professionalism does it? I hope the West Ham defenders read how they’ve been described by the German side’s website.

Moyes needs a big performance from his side in both legs of the Europa League quarter-final clash with Leverkusen.

And I’m hoping that the German side have just done us a big favour.
