Crystal Palace target's value now rises by 800% as Dougie Freedman faces tough task to sign him

Crystal Palace need to move quickly to grab one top target this summer as his transfer value has skyrocketed this season.

The upcoming transfer window is due to be a busy one for Crystal Palace with numerous players already linked with a move to Selhurst Park.

Oliver Glasner will be leading the calls for recruitment to be at the highest level as he’s likely discovered just how thin his side is.

This campaign, one defender who has been pretty consistently linked with Crystal Palace has been Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera.

The 19-year-old centre-back was a name considered in January and these links have remained beyond as we head toward the summer window.

But the longer it takes Palace to sign him, the more expensive he will be at this rate.

This is because, since October, CIES has estimated Mosquera’s transfer value has risen by around 800% which demonstrates how impressive he’s been.

From £1.7m to £15.4m, his value has grown exponentially, and it’s unlikely to stop with some serious interest in him expected this summer.

This season, Mosquera has enjoyed his breakout campaign at the senior level for Valencia.

The Spanish defender has been a regular and impressive despite his young age.

As seen here, Mosquera is among the best in La Liga in terms of centre-backs for the majority of the more important metrics for a defender.
